1985 Cal Ripken, Jr. Signed Game Bat. The last of the old time ballplayers, Cal will always be loved for the dedicated and gentlemanly manner in which he approached our national pastime. Here we present a piece sure to inspire the winning bidder ever time he holds it in his hands, a beautifully unused signature model Louisville Slugger S318 once intended for battle in the hands of the game's greatest Iron Man. Number "8" is in marker on the knob, and a perfect blue ink inscription on the barrel reads, "Best Wishes, Cal Ripken, Jr. #8." While length and weight of thirty-four inches and ounces respectively is proper for Cal, factory records indicate that on 12/2/85 this particular bat was one of twelve sent not to Ripken or the Orioles, but to "Baseball Misc." SCD A5. LOA from PSA/DNA.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
