1984-86 Ryne Sandberg Game Used Bat, PSA/DNA GU 9.5. Early Sandberg bat is the type used by the Cubs Hall of Famer during his 1984 MVP season, on in which he led the National League in triples and runs scored. In fact, Sandberg won the Silver Slugger during two-thirds of the bat's possible term of service, and the outstanding use evident on the signature model Louisville Slugger B267 indicates this was a real workhorse for him. Ball marks, stitch impressions, cleat marks and blue polish from Sandberg's cleats are apparent, as is a heavy coat of pine tar and a weighted donut impression. Length is thirty-four inches, weight thirty-two ounces. Knob has handwritten "23, B267." Black sharpie signature on barrel rates 9/10. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 9.5. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA (autograph). Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication (autograph).

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
