Description

1983 Cal Ripken, Jr. Game Used Bat. Factory ordering records allow us to definitively peg this important lumber to the burgeoning Iron Man's 1983 American League MVP season, one in which he took top honors in hits, doubles, runs scored and, of course, games played. One can easily spot the hallmarks of his world class production in the punished blonde ash of this signature model Louisville Slugger R161, exhibiting heavy use with ball, stitch, rack and spike marks and slight grain swelling. A repaired minor crack on the scored handle ended the lengthy service. Ripken's number "8" appears in vintage marker on the knob end. Length is thirty-five inches, weight thirty-four and a half ounces. A flawless black sharpie signature, complete with "2007 Hall of Fame" notation, completes the package, and furthers the bat's status as one of the most desirable Ripken gamers on earth. Graded PSA/DNA GU 9. LOA from PSA/DNA. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA (autograph). Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication (autograph).
