1981-83 Carl Yastrzemski Game Used & Signed Bat, PSA/DNA GU 9. Long gone are the days where a player stays with one team for an entire career. Free agency and the lure of greener pastures elsewhere have become commonplace in sports. Carl Yastrzemski was a fixture with the Red Sox his twenty-three year career. His 3,419 hits, 3,308 games played and 1,844 RBI's are tops in the team's rich history.This Louisville Slugger model C271 bat (34.5" and 33.6 ounces) saw action when Yaz's career was winding down. Excellent use is exhibited on the bat (handle crack) with several ball marks and stitch impressions on the right, left and back barrel from contact. Cleat marks are on the back barrel. The handle features a cork grip and pine tar. Yaz signed on in silver paint pen. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 9. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from Beckett Authentication Services.
