1980-83 Fergie Jenkins Game Used Bat, PSA/DNA GU 9. The benchmark for pitching greatness is winning twenty games. During a six year span (1967-72), Fergie Jenkins notched twenty or more wins each year. If a player did that in today's game, he would be lauded as one of the greats. Hall of Famer Jenkins used this Louisville Slugger model D143 bat (34" and 33.3 ounces) between 1980-83. The stick shows tremendous use with ball marks and stitch impressions on the right and back barrel. Green and red bat streaks and cleat marks accentuate all angles of the uncracked lumber. Athletic tape is found on the handle as well. John Taube also mentioned the appearance of "Yosh Marks" on the knob. Yosh Kawano, the long time Cubs equipment manager, had a tendency to add these special notations to game used bats. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 9.
