1977 George Brett Game Used Bat. There have been few more terrifying sights in baseball history than the snarling, frothing one-man stampede from the Royals dugout when Brett's 1983 home run was negated, so we're a bit nervous in pointing out that the pine tar on this presented signature model Hillerich & Bradsby T85S does indeed extend for more than eighteen inches beyond the knob. A classic early career gamer, this representation exhibits "outstanding" use, as characterized by Malta and Taube, with ball and stitch marks coating the barrel. The length of thirty-four and a half inches and weight just under thirty-two ounces are correct for Brett and his number "5" appears in vintage marker on the knob end. No cracks. A terrific specimen worthy of its GU 9 status, from a season which saw the Royals come within three defensive outs of an American League pennant. LOA from PSA/DNA.
