Description

1977 Dave Winfield Game Used Bat, PSA/DNA GU 9. He was born on the day that Bobby Thomson hit his famous "Shot," and the magic was not lost on the giant slugger, who hit 465 long balls of his own in a twenty-two year Hall of Fame career. Here we find a bat from the early half of that career, dating to a season that saw Winfield smack 25 home runs and drive in 92 runs.

This Hillerich & Bradsby model K55 (35.5" and 32 ounces) shows outstanding use with a slight handle crack. An abundance of ball marks and stitch impressions pepper the back barrel, and there is grain swelling from continuous contact. Cleat marks are visible on the back barrel. "31" appears on the knob. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 9.
