Description

1977-79 Dave Parker Game Used Bat, PSA/DNA GU 8.5. Dave Parker was a powerful and charismatic right fielder who played 19 seasons in Major League Baseball, primarily with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Nicknamed "The Cobra," he was known for his combination of size, speed, and a cannon-like throwing arm. Parker won the 1978 National League MVP, was a 7-time All-Star, and helped lead the Pirates to a World Series title in 1979. He also won two batting titles and three Gold Gloves. Though his career was later affected by injuries and off-field controversies, including involvement in the Pittsburgh drug trials, Parker remained a feared hitter into the late 1980s and won a second World Series with the Oakland A's in 1989. He's remembered as one of the most talented and imposing players of his era.

Offered is a 36-inch, 34.5-ounce Hillerich & Bradsby R161 bat game used by the HOFer in the late 1970s. Evidence of excellent use (handle crack, ball marks, cleat marks, barrel bruising). LOA from PSA/DNA, 1B37137. Graded PSA/DNA GU 8.5.
