Description

1977-79 Carlton Fisk Game Used Bat, PSA/DNA GU 9. Carlton Fisk was a man's man. Pudge outworked everyone and never stopped yearning to get better. Lifting weights into the wee hours of the morning was commonplace for the backstop. This Hillerich & Bradsby model S44 bat (34" and 30.8 ounces) was used when Fisk was launching baseballs over The Green Monster as a member of the Red Sox - 1977-79. Numerous ball marks and even light checking are visible on the back barrel from Fisk making contact. A very light crack appears on the center brand and the handle sports moderate pine tar buildup. "27" is written on the knob and we believe "44" was squeezed in above. Red and black circles surround the outer edges. Most of the Fisk game used bats were secured when the Hall of Fame was all but assured. This is one of the few bats we have offered from his days in Beantown. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 9.
