1976 Robin Yount Game Used Bat, PSA/DNA GU 10.
Yount plied his trade in the city of Milwaukee and is the franchise's signature star. Multiple times he could have left for brighter lights or more money but he was loyal to Bud Selig and the Brew Crew. Things weren't always rosy though. As a 22-year old, Yount threatened to quit and join the PGA Tour before he regained his senses. A MVP in 1982 was joined by another in '89 as Yount became one of only three men to win the coveted award at two positions. Bumps and bruises never seemed to sideline Yount either. Selig or his manager would need to tell Yount he wasn't in the lineup because of injury. Yount game used bats are always a welcomed sight for Brewers fans. But this gamer can be traced to the early portion of The Kid's career.

Yount swung this Hillerich & Bradsby model K75 bat (35" and 33.8 ounces) during the 1976 season. The great lumber has rightfully earned its grade of PSA/DNA GU 10. Numerous ball marks appear on the left, front and back barrel. Blue bat rack streaks also decorate the barrel region. According to John Taube's research, Yount first used this model of bat, with "Rob" engraved, in April of 1974 and continued until early 1976. Although there is no bicentennial reference on the barrel, there have been examples of other player's bats from that season which did not have the Liberty Bell design incorporated. According to MEARS' research there are examples of Big Red Machine bats that are void of the Liberty Bell. "19" is featured on the knob of the uncracked piece of Brewers history. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 10. LOA from MEARS, A9.
