1974 Mike Schmidt Game Used Bat, PSA/DNA GU 8. Baseball historian Bill James once wrote that "If Schmidt had hit .320, he would have been the greatest player who ever lived, but even fifty points lower he's the greatest third baseman ever."

This early career exemplar, which dates from Schmidt's second season in the majors, is an H&B K75 measuring 36" and weighing 34.9 ounces. Only a cracked handle early in the bat's lifespan kept the 500 home run hitter from logging some seriously prodigious mileage with this 1974 issue. Still the bat does show moderate wear, with cleat, ball and transfer marks all evident in addition to clearly discernable checking. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 8.
