1971 Bobby Murcer Game Used Bat from The Greg Stiegler Royals Bat Boy Collection. He may not have lived up to the expectations of being "the next Mickey Mantle," but Bobby Murcer still managed to turn in an impressive career that spanned over 17 seasons. A five-time All Star, and Gold Glove Award winner in 1972, Murcer used the offered Hillerich & Bradsby model K48 bat (35" and 32.4 ounces) during the 1971 season according to John Taube's research. Ball marks and checking suggest Murcer used this weapon for quite some time. A crack on the handle is concealed with white athletic tape. Heavy pine tar is seen near the handle tape. "K48" is punched into the knob. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 8. LOA from former Royals Bat Boy Greg Stiegler.
