1971-79 Steve Carlton Game Used Signed Bat, PSA/DNA GU 9. Yes Bob Uecker had to look up to pitcher Steve Carlton for career batting average. Carlton finished his Hall of Fame career one notch above the Mendoza Line and even went deep seven times. With a labeling period of 1971-79 is this Adirondack bat - 34.25" and 34.1 ounces. Excellent use characteristics are shown on this lumber as the uncracked stick has noticeable ball marks and stitch impressions on the right and back barrel. Red bat rack streaks and moderate deadwood are also hallmarks of this walloping stick. It appears some of the checking has a substance applied to keep its big league life going. "32" is markered on the knob along with a pencil notation. Carlton signed the bat in 10/10 black felt tip. "32B" is also punched into the knob. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 9. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
