1970's Thurman Munson Game Bat, Used. There's no doubt that this is an Adirondack Big Stick 257A made for use by the tragic Yankees captain, but the weathered condition of the barrel and the cryptic markings on the knob leave the identity of its user in dispute. Thirty-five inch length and thirty-four and a half ounce weight are correct for Munson. Handle is wrapped with tape, presumably to secure the sizeable crack here. Certainly not a picture-perfect representation, but nonetheless an exciting opportunity to own lumber from the arsenal of one of Monument Park's most beloved figures.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
