1970 Johnny Bench Game Used Bat, PSA/DNA GU 9--MVP Season! He's widely considered the greatest player ever to wear the vest and mask, and this relic derives from his greatest season, his first of two National League MVP campaigns. His numbers account for the landslide victory, with forty-five home runs and 148 RBI's each leading all Senior Circuit batsmen. Heavy game use is evident, with the back barrel so punished that the grain has swollen in protest, yet the handle has remained miraculously uncracked. Bench's jersey number is written in Roman numeral format on the knob in black marker. Length is thirty-five and a half inches (35.5"), weight thirty-two ounces (32 oz.). Black sharpie signature on barrel rates 9/10. One of the finest Bench examples we've offered. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 9. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
