1970 Johnny Bench Game Used Bat, PSA/DNA GU 9 -MVP Season! He's widely considered the greatest player ever to wear the vest and mask, and this relic derives from his greatest season, his first of two National League MVP campaigns. His numbers account for the landslide victory, with forty-five home runs and 148 RBI's each leading all Senior Circuit batsmen. Heavy use is visible on this Hillerich & Bradsby model R161 bat (35.5" and 32.9 ounces) from the MVP's big season. Ball marks and stitch impressions are in abundance on the left barrel. Red felt grip is wrapped on the handle - which sports a crack. Green bat rack streaks are also found on the barrel. "R161" is stamped into the knob and "5" appears in fading black marker. Bench signed the barrel in 10/10 black ink and offers his "Best Wishes" as well. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 9. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
