1970 All-Star Game Commemorative Bat from The Brooks Robinson Collection. The Orioles legend tripled against the iconic Bob Gibson in the eighth inning of this Midsummer Classic to drive in two runs, but the National League pulled a three-run rabbit out of its hat to tie the game in the bottom of the ninth, then walked (or rather, steamrolled) off in the bottom of the twelfth with Pete Rose's demolition of catcher Ray Fosse. This is a souvenir of that unforgettable occasion, an Adirondack Big Stick engraved with Robinson's name and affixed with an engraved plaque reading, "To Commemorate the 1970 All Star Game, Riverfront Stadium, July 14th, Cincinnati, Ohio." Moderate handling/storage wear, but aesthetics remain strong. Letter of provenance from Brooks Robinson.
