1969-72 Billy Williams Game Used Bat, PSA/DNA GU 7.5. As durable as they come, Billy Williams was a consistent source of power and grace in the Chicago Cubs' lineup. While he didn't garner the headlines of fellow Hall of Fame teammates Fergie Jenkins or Ernie Banks, Williams was a tough out. This Hillerich & Bradsby model S2 bat was swung by Williams during the formidable years of his career - 1969-72. Measuring 34.5" and weighing 30.9 ounces, the bat shows moderate use with a handle crack (sliver of wood missing) which has been repaired with nails. Ball and stitch impressions are visible on the right, left and back barrel from repeated contact. A small layer of deadwood and heavy pine tar buildup adds a bit of personality to the walloping stick. PSA/DNA has bestowed a grade of GU 7.5 to the fine specimen. LOA from PSA/DNA GU 7.5.
