    Description

1968 Al Kaline Game Used & Signed Bat, PSA/DNA GU 10. Not even the ageless Ty Cobb served more games in a Tigers uniform than this man, who retired with 2,834 appearances, twenty-eight better than his iconic Motor City counterpart. The famed felines share space both in Cooperstown and the 3,000 Hit Clubhouse, and Kaline's 399 career long balls finds him at number fifty-two on the career leaderboard. Ty Cobb may have been the greatest figure in Detroit baseball history, but it is Kaline who is remembered as "Mr. Tiger."

Presented is one of the most important Kaline artifacts that Heritage has had the privilege to present, a single-year order that assures use during the glorious World Championship campaign of 1968. The signature model Adirondack 113A suggests moderate to heavy game action, with ball marks, stitch impressions, light checking and picture-perfect pine tar to match Kaline's preferences on the uncracked handle. Vintage number "6" in marker on knob. Length is thirty-five inches (35"), weight thirty-three ounces (33 oz.). Blue sharpie signature on barrel is 8/10. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 10. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA (autograph). Auction LOA from SGC Authentic (autograph).
