1968-70 Bob Gibson Game Used Bat, PSA/DNA GU 8. Your odds are good--two out of three, in fact--that this ultra-rare lumber dates to a Cy Young season for this hard-throwing Hall of Famer, as Gibby claimed pitching's top honor in 1968 and in 1970, earning the National League MVP award as well in the former. Though the Cardinals legend pitched his way to Cooperstown bronze, he was not helpless with the lumber in his hands, average a long ball a season and a respectable .243 average during this span. His Adirondack Big Stick 14C shows heavy use with a secured handle crack, with multiple ball and stitch marks on the barrel amidst a scattering of cleat divots. Light pine tar on the handle. Number "45" appears in vintage marker on the knob, and Gibson has autographed with barrel in 10/10 black sharpie with a "Best wishes" salutation. Length is thirty-five inches, weight thirty-two and a half ounces. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 8. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA (autograph).
