    1965 Minnesota Twins American League Champions Black Commemorative Bat. American League Champions commemorative bat given to players and club officials. Made by Hillerich & Bradsby Co. , the Louisville Slugger is adorned with the members of the American League pennant winner of that year. Included names include Billy Martin, John Sain, Jim Kaat, and Harmon Killebrew, Bats were normally limited to 300 or less made. The 34" lumber exhibits NM quality.

    This lot originates from the Ray Crump Collection. Ray originally worked in the clubhouse and was a batboy for the Washington Senators beginning in 1948. When the Senators moved to Minnesota in 1961, he came North with them to become the Twins first equipment manager, a position he held until retiring from the organization in 1984.
