    Description

1965-68 Roberto Clemente Game Used Bat, PSA/DNA GU 7.5. "The big thing about Clemente is that he can hit any pitch," Hall of Fame pitcher Juan Marichal once explained. "I don't mean only strikes. He can hit a ball off his ankles or off his ear." Here we present a signature model Hillerich & Bradsby U1 dating to a four-year span that twice saw this elite batsman claim the National League batting title. The bat exhibits light use with ball marks and stitch impressions and green rack paint.

Clemente went big with his bats, and this thirty-six inch (36") long monster finds its original weight of "38" ounces handwritten in pencil on the knob, along with a vintage markered number "21." Those jersey digits are repeated on barrel end. Taube notes these numbers match other known Clemente representations. Uncracked handle leads to Clemente's distinctive tapered knob. A splendid example of an essential gamer. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 7.5.
