    Description

1965-68 Pete Rose Game Used Bat, PSA/DNA GU 7. The man who would be King was just getting started when he took this signature model Hillerich & Bradsby S2 to the plate at Crosley Field. After a handle crack ended its utility, the bat was collected by Reds bat boy Gerry Ahrens, whose cousin supplies a letter of provenance attesting to that history. He also supplies a published article that confirms Ahrens' service at Crosley.

The bat exhibits light to moderate use with a repaired handle crack, and measures thirty-six inches (36") in length. Weight is thirty-three ounces (33 oz.). A few white marks on the bat suggest minor post-Rose sandlot use. Rose averaged exactly 200 hits per season during the four-year production span of this bat, clearing the path on the long march to immortality. Letter of provenance from cousin of Reds bat boy. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 7.
