1965-68 Ernie Banks Game Used Bat, PSA/DNA GU 8. One of the greatest players ever to call Wrigley Field home, Ernie Banks comes by his Mr. Cub nickname honestly, dedicating all nineteen of his Hall of Fame seasons to the franchise. Presented is a signature model Hillerich & Bradsby S2 from the heart of that long tenure in the Windy City, exhibiting heavy use in the form of ball marks, stitch impressions and grain separation. Handle is uncracked. Length is thirty-five inches (35"), weight thirty ounces (29.9 oz.). Faded but still visible to the right of the center brand are the desirable "Yosh marks" that Cubs collectors crave, the handwritten model number notation beside the "Powerized" branding named for long-time Wrigley clubhouse manager Yosh Kawano. It is Kawano's handwriting that applied number "14" to the knob end in black marker as well. Barrel is autographed by Banks in 9/10 blue sharpie. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 8. LOA from MEARS, A8.5. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA (autograph).
