The boldest autograph we've encountered on a Clemente gamer!

1964-69 Roberto Clemente Game Used & Signed Bat, PSA/DNA GU 7. Few stars of the 1960's Major Leagues shined as brightly as the original owner of this signature model Hillerich & Bradsby G105, a man whose brilliant career and tragic martyrdom elevates him to the upper reaches of the sport's pantheon. The presented lumber finds the first Hispanic member of the Baseball Hall of Fame at the height of his extraordinary powers, a six-year production span during which the Pirates legend claimed three of his four National League batting titles and his sole MVP Award, averaging a scalding .330 during those half dozen seasons.

Clemente's favored model during those prime years is that which we encounter here, a signature model Hillerich & Bradsby G105 with the distinctive knobless handle, an imposing war club at thirty-six inches (36") and thirty-six ounces (36 oz.) still bearing the hallmarks of its time with the Puerto Rican hero. Ball marks and cleat impressions appear on the barrel, and the handle remains uncracked. Number "21" is written in vintage marker on the knob end, matching known exemplars of the period.

But it's another black marker application, forming a huge autograph from the bat's original owner, that makes this one of the most desirable Clemente gamers to surface in the hobby. The seven and a half inch (7.5") long signature is one of the finest we have encountered in any format, supplying both elite aesthetics and the most ironclad assurance possible that places the relic into Clemente's hands. This is not a bat for the casual collector, but rather for the uncompromising hobbyist comfortable only at the top of the market. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 7. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from MEARS, A9.
