1964-66 Roberto Clemente Game Used Bat, PSA/DNA GU 10. Few stars of the 1960's Major Leagues shined as brightly as the original owner of this signature model Hillerich & Bradsby G105, a man whose brilliant career and tragic martyrdom elevates him to the upper reaches of the sport's pantheon. The presented lumber finds the first Hispanic member of the Baseball Hall of Fame at the absolute height of his powers, the factory ordering records for this format matching a three-year span during which the Pirates legend claimed two of his four National League batting titles and his sole MVP Award, averaging a scalding .328 during that period.

Clemente's favored model during those prime years is the one we encounter here, a Hillerich & Bradsby G105 with the distinctive knobless handle, an imposing war club at thirty-six inches (36") and thirty-six ounces (36 oz.) still bearing the hallmarks of its time with the Puerto Rican hero. Ball marks, stitch impressions and rack streaks appear on the barrel, while the handle, bearing Clemente's typical pine tar application, remains uncracked. Number "21" is written in vintage marker on the knob end in a distinctive font that perfectly matches known exemplars of the period.

The experts at PSA/DNA characterize game use as "outstanding," assigning this special lumber with the service's highest possible assessment. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 10.
