1963 Stan Musial Game Used Bat, PSA/DNA GU 10 - Last Bat Used at Candlestick Park with Exceptional Provenance. The epitome of sustained excellence and integrity, Stan Musial's quiet dignity and powerful bat made him one of baseball's most revered and iconic figures. Here is the last bat The Man ever used at Candlestick Park in San Francisco and which he presented on-field to sports journalist Mervyn J. Goodman on August 27, 1963.

The H&B model M159 lumber measures 34.5 inches in length, weighs 31.0 ounces and remains uncracked. The bat exhibits evidence of outstanding use, including slight checking, many ball marks, plus red and green bat rack streaks. Stan's number "6" is written on the knob in black marker and a gold plate has been attached to the front barrel which reads:

"Stan Musial, August 27, 1963, The Press & Union Club of San Francisco, My Last Bat Used at Candlestick."

The lot also includes 1) An 8x10" original color photograph of Musial presenting the bat to Goodman on-field at Candlestick Park. It is inscribed and signed "To Mervyn, Best Wishes, Stan Musial" in vintage blue ink; and 2) Copies of two newspaper articles discussing the details of the bat presentation.
