    Description

1961 John Roseboro All-Star Game Used Bat, PSA/DNA GU 9. Best remembered as the victim of Juan Marichal's dangerous assault in 1965, Roseboro took over behind the plate for the Dodgers after Roy Campanella's tragic accident before the 1958 season, making four All-Star Game appearances in a fourteen-season career. The listed bat derives from the second, but the excellent game use suggests that the Adirondack 224A saw continued service in the regular season after that mid-year exhibition. We see barrel scoring and ball marks in quantity on the thirty-five inch (35") war club, which weighs just over thirty-three ounces (33 oz.). Knobless handle is uncracked. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 9.
