1961-63 Willie McCovey Game Used Bat, PSA/DNA GU 8. He was nearly the hero of the 1962 World Series, but his scorching line drive that would likely have plated the tying and winning runs with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning of Game Seven was snared by Bobby Richardson to preserve the one-to-nothing Yankee victory and cement their twentieth World Championship. Presented is a Hillerich & Bradsby K44 centered around that historic season, exhibiting outstanding game use in the form of ball marks, stitch impressions, checking, rack streaks and a handle crack repaired with vintage tape and nails. Length is thirty-four and a half inches (34.5"), weight thirty-two ounces (32 oz.). Number "44" adorns the knob in red marker. A fine specimen from the prime of this 500 Home Run Club and Hall of Fame slugger. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 8.
