1961-63 Wally Moon Game Used Bat, PSA/DNA GU 8. He refused to report to the minors and crashed Cardinals spring training in St. Petersburg claiming he'd make the team or quit baseball. He would become the 1954 National League Rookie of the Year. Presented is a signature model Hillerich & Bradsby M159 from the second half of Moon's storied career, as one of the most popular stars of the Los Angeles Dodgers. The experts at PSA/DNA characterize game use as "outstanding," an opinion bolstered by a constellation of ball marks, stitch impressions, rack streaks and original grip tape on the slightly cracked handle. Number "9" appears in marker on knob. Length thirty-four and a quarter inches (34.25"), weight thirty-one ounces (31 oz.). LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 8. Letter of provenance from Ron Cardo (former Milwaukee County Stadium batboy).
