1960 Del Crandall All-Star Game Used Bat, MEARS A10. A four-time Gold Glove winner at the sport's most demanding defensive position, Crandall was likewise one of the premier slugging catchers of the National League, earning eleven All-Star appearances during his sixteen seasons of professional service. In the 1960 edition where the presented lumber saw use, Crandall started in the number eight spot, taking AL starter Bill Monbouquette deep in the top of the second to give the eventual victors a four to nothing early lead. The experts at MEARS indicate that the use on this bat is appropriate for Crandall's five at-bats this date, assigning the signature model Adirondack 114A its highest rating. The thirty-five inch, thirty-two ounce war club is accompanied by a signed letter of provenance from Crandall. LOA from MEARS, A10. Letter of provenance from Del Crandall.
