    Description

1955-59 Ted Williams Game Issued & Signed Bat with Williams Letter, PSA/DNA GU 5. Game used lumber from the greatest hitter of all time is never easy on the wallet, so we can't fully lament the wallflower status of this signature model Hillerich & Bradsby W183. It was shipped to the Hall of Fame slugger from the famous Louisville bat factory but never made it further than the rack, which left behind its tell-tale paint streaks. Number "9" appears in vintage marker on the knob, and the number "3" to indicate weight (dried now to 31.6 oz.). Length is thirty-five inches (35").

Some years later, the bat was reunited with its original owner for the application of a black sharpie signature, which adorns the upper barrel with 9/10 strength. It's both one of the finest Williams signed bats on the planet, and a perfect specimen of an unused weapon from the game's most dangerous arsenal. Furthermore, it comes with a 1996 letter of provenance from The Splendid Splinter himself, identifying the bat as one of his own. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 5. Full LOA from PSA/DNA (autograph). Letter of provenance from Ted Williams. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA (letter of provenance).
