    Description

1947-49 Johnny Mize Game Used Bat, MEARS Authentic. Absolutely pummeled signature model Hillerich & Bradsby H117 serves as a living testament to the power of The Big Cat, who led the National League with fifty-one homers in 1947 and forty in 1948. The thirty-six inches of length and thirty-three ounces of weight perfectly match Mize's ordering records for this model, as do the regular knob and round barrel. Heavy checking should be evident in our images, particularly on the stamped part of the barrel. Eight inch handle crack and chipping/cracking of the knob likewise testify to a rough life in the hands of this Big Apple legend. LOA from MEARS, Authentic.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
