1946-47 Ted Williams Period-Signed Game Issued Bat, PSA Authentic.
Three seasons lost to military service did nothing to slow down this legendary slugger, who lit up his stat line with the bold print of American League supremacy as he claimed his first of two Most Valuable Player Awards in 1946. He'd narrowly miss the honor in 1947, finishing just a single point behind his pinstriped foil Joe DiMaggio despite claiming the American League Triple Crown. In short, this was a period that saw Ted Williams at the pinnacle of his enormous abilities.

This bat was ready for participation in that era of brilliance but was spared punishment in the hands of the greatest hitter that ever lived by its designation as an autographed gift to a fan. The signature model Hillerich & Bradsby perfectly matches Williams' favored specs--thirty-five inches (35") and thirty-two and a half ounces (32.4 oz.)--but exhibits no game use, only a 9+/10 period black fountain pen signature with a "Best wishes" salutation preceding it. Unquestionably the finest Williams signed bat we've encountered. LOA from PSA/DNA, Authentic. Full LOA from PSA/DNA (autograph).
