    Description

1943-47 Ernie Lombardi Game Used Bat. Intended for use by the Hall of Fame catcher during the closing years of his career with the New York Giants, this signature model Hillerich & Bradsby M31 was ordered by the team on 4/4/45. Use is impressively heavy, with ball and stitch marks and a seven-inch handle crack. Light dead wood is found on the back of the barrel from the punishment inflicted. Weight and length are thirty-three ounces and thirty-four inches respectively. Quite possibly one of the last bats ever used before Lombardi's induction to Cooperstown. MEARS A6.
