Description

1939-43 Jimmie Foxx Game Used Bat, PSA/DNA GU 7.5. Signature model Hillerich & Bradsby emerges from the final four seasons of the fabled Double-X, the first man to give Babe Ruth some company in the 500 Home Run Clubhouse. That prodigious power is evident in the outstanding game use that has left the barrel swollen with repeated ball contact, and speckled with cleat marks and ball marks. Handle was cracked and bandaged with tape back in the day, but that tape has been removed, leaving a shadow behind. That handle crack has since been professionally repaired. A small chip is missing from the knob.

Length is thirty-five inches (35"), weight thirty-four ounces (33.9 oz.), each dimension perfectly matching Foxx's ordering records for the period. A marvelous representation that presents far better than its technical grade, which is primarily the result of the aforementioned handle and knob issues. Collectors valuing heavy game use will celebrate this exciting opportunity. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 7.5.
