1937 Jimmie Foxx Game Used Bat, PSA/DNA GU 6.5. For thirteen consecutive seasons, Double X kept his RBI total in the triple digits, and the presented lumber dates to the ninth year of that remarkable run, a tally of 127 built on a foundation of thirty-six round-trippers. The signature model Hillerich & Bradsby exhibits very heavy use with a repaired handle crack and multiple ball marks and stitch impressions that has left the wood grain swollen in pain. It must be noted that a degree of this use derives from sandlot use, making the quantity of action attributable to Foxx a point of debate, but there's no question that the bat began its journey in the 500 Home Run Club member's hands.

For those collectors with a concentration on the arsenal of the sport's premier sluggers, the Foxx gamer ranks among the most challenging of targets. Those few that have surfaced tend to date to the waning seasons of the slugger's career, as his skill and output dipped dramatically. But Foxx was at the height of his power when the offered bat was used, just a year short of his career's most productive run producing season (175 RBI's in 1938). As such, this specimen rates among the most desirable lumber of his endangered breed. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 6.5.
