    Description

1925-28 Honus Wagner Professional Model Bat, PSA/DNA Authentic. The Old Dutchman recorded the last of his 3,430 career Major League hits in 1917, but he'd barnstorm and play semi-pro ball for more than a decade after his last appearance in the Pirates line-up before returning to the franchise in a coaching capacity. While the experts are unable to definitively place the offered signature model Hillerich & Bradsby into Wagner's hands, they stress that it is identical in format to those the Hall of Fame shortstop used during those transitional years.

Massive by today's standards at thirty-six inches (36") in length and over forty ounces (40.2 oz.) in weight, this thunderous war stick exhibits outstanding game use with a handle crack, two small chips on the knob, ball marks, cleat divots and rack streaks. Spiral tape coats thirteen inches of the handle, near a faint "DC" carved into the wood. With verifiable Wagner gamers commonly selling in excess of $50,000, this is a thrilling opportunity to own a possible weapon from his arsenal at a far more democratic price point. LOA from PSA/DNA, Authentic.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
