1917-18 Ty Cobb Game Used Bat. Hillerich & Bradsby "Georgia Peach" decal bat is exacting to the legendary batsman's preferred specifications of thirty-six ounces and thirty-four inches, with use consistent with Cobb ownership. Moderate wear is present on the barrel, with stitch and cleat marks, and fourteen inches of vintage tape on the handle. The decal on the barrel of the bat is about forty percent present, and the "Clark Griffith Bat/Ball Fund" stamping on the upper handle, relating to sporting goods give-aways during the First World War, has worn away on the lower half. Cryptic "P.I." is carved into the knob. Based upon the unique characteristics of the bat, MEARS has designated a grade of A3. A fine Dead Ball era relic. LOA from MEARS.
