Description

Late 1950's Hall of Famers Multi-Signed Baseball with Cobb, Foxx, Speaker. A spectacular constellation of stars makes this OAL (Harridge) baseball one of the most appealing signed spheres in this auction. Our consignor indicated that the ball was signed at a Kansas City banquet held to benefit the Baseball Hall of Fame, and autographs from the owner and general manager of the Athletics would lend credence to this story. The outrageous collection of Cooperstown talent would likewise suggest the story is true, as we find Cobb, Foxx, Speaker, Baker, Crawford, Schalk, Cochrane, Grove, Gehringer, Hubbell, Paul Waner and Feller among the fifteen autographs present. All autographs remain impressively bold and legible, ranging in quality from 7/10 to 9/10 under a thin coating of shellac. You'll be hard-pressed to find more pre-war legends on a single ball. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
