    Description

Late 1940's Babe Ruth Signed Baseball--Presents as a Single. It would be one of the most impressive Ruth singles we've handled if not for one other passenger on the provided OAL (Harridge) ball, top Yankees (1948-55) ace Ed Lopat, who lurks as far away as possible from the Babe's sweet spot masterpiece. We consider the presence of this pinstriped interloper to be a glass half-full, as Lopat is invisible upon display, and knocks a sizable chuck of change off what would be a strong five-figure price tag for a true Ruth solo of this quality. The iconic slugger's blue fountain pen ink rates a conservative 8.5/10, while Lopat's hidden offering is equally fine. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from SGC Authentic.
