Description

Late 1930's Babe Ruth Single Signed Baseball. The Bambino's appearance upon the sweet spot of an ONL (Frick) baseball suggests the strong possibility that this autograph was acquired either during Ruth's final year as a player with the Boston Braves, or his brief tenure as a coach with the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1938. In any regard, it is applied with fine black fountain pen boldness, rating an impressive 8/10 to 9/10 seven decades after its application. The ball is attractively and evenly toned, with the occasional minor scuff that causes no real problems for visual display. A very solid example of the hobby's keystone piece. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication. Guide Value or Estimate: $8,000 - $12,000.
