Description

Late 1920's Legends Signed Baseball with Ruth, Gehrig, Cobb, Speaker. You couldn't ask for a better cast of characters than that which we find on this OAL (Barnard) baseball, likely signed at a meeting between the New York Yankees and the Philadelphia Athletics. Sam Gray is the only signer lacking a Cooperstown plaque, keeping fine company with Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Ty Cobb, Tris Speaker, Lefty Grove and Herb Pennock. While the passing years have had an effect on these historic playing-days signatures, it must be noted that all remain legible and absolutely unmistakable. Ruth rates lowest at 3/10, with his Yankee partner Gehrig a couple points better at 5/10. Their teammate Pennock rates a nice 7/10, as do Cobb, Grove and Speaker, raising the overall average considerably. Careful curation and storage of this important baseball artifact will ensure that it remains in its present state for future generations of collectors, and that it will continue to increase in value as all pieces blessed by such an array of baseball gods do. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
