Description

Late 1920's Babe Ruth Signed Baseball. Our consignor explains that this baseball was acquired by his father in Portland, Oregon where Ruth was playing, suggesting strongly that the sphere dates to the famous Bustin' Babes vs. Larrupin' Lou's barnstorming tour that provided the western states with a chance to see baseball's greatest stars up close and personal. The Babe occupies his standard sweet spot position on the non-official ball, his black fountain pen ink rating 4/10 due to some surface wear. A 2/10 signature from Yankees and barnstorming teammate Bob Meusel appears on the northern panel. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
