Description

Dick Allen Single Signed Baseball. Dick Allen (1942-2020) was one of the most talented and controversial sluggers of his era, known for his immense power, sharp batting eye, and outspoken personality. Playing primarily in the 1960s and 1970s for teams like the Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago White Sox, and St. Louis Cardinals, Allen won the 1972 American League MVP and was a seven-time All-Star. He hit 351 career home runs and had a .292 lifetime batting average, often ranking among league leaders in slugging and OPS. Despite his production, Allen's career was marked by friction with the media and management, as he challenged racial injustice and clubhouse politics during a turbulent time in baseball. In recent years, his legacy has been reevaluated, with growing recognition of both his on-field excellence and off-field courage.

Offered is a Rawlings OML-Selig baseball signed and inscribed by the Hall of Famer. Little toning. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
