Circa 1990 Mickey Mantle Single Signed Baseball, BAS 10. Mickey Mantle was a legendary switch-hitting center fielder who played his entire 18-year career (1951-1968) with the New York Yankees. Known for his incredible power, speed, and toughness, Mantle hit 536 home runs and won three American League MVP awards. He was a key part of seven World Series championships and appeared in 12 Fall Classics, setting several records, including most World Series home runs (18). Despite chronic injuries, particularly to his knees, Mantle remained one of the most feared hitters of his era. A cultural icon of 1950s and '60s baseball, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1974.
