Description

Circa 1983 Earl Averill Single Signed Baseball, PSA/DNA EX-MT+ 6.5. A firecracker accident almost prematurely ended Averill's career in 1935, but the Cleveland Indians outfielder recovered to string together six consecutive All-Star appearances and, eventually, to earn a long-awaited Hall of Fame plaque. Though his autograph is not particularly scarce in general, it is rarely seen on a single signed baseball, so serious collectors take note. The offered 1983 All-Star Game official baseball is signed by Averill on a side panel in 7/10 blue ballpoint. The ball (6) has toned and has an overall grade of 6.5. Full Grading LOA from PSA/DNA, EX-MT 6.5.
