    Description

Circa 1961 Earle Combs Signed Baseball - Displays as a Single. His 231 hits and twenty-three triples led the American League in 1927, facts largely overshadowed by fellow Hall of Famer Babe Ruth's sixty long balls clubbed that same World Championship season. But if Ruth is dozens of times more famous than Combs, he's thousands of times more common on single signed baseballs, with just a few examples surfacing at major auction in the past dozen years. The only thing keeping this from the coveted "single-signed" status is the signature of Jim Bunning. Combs signed the sweet spot of this Official League ball in 4/10 ink. "1961 World Series Yankees vs. Reds" is also written on an adjacent panel. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
