Circa 1960 Wilcy Moore Single Signed Baseball. In the past decade and a half, just one other example of a Wilcy Moore single signed baseball has come to auction. While Moore only pitched for six years, five of those were with the New York Yankees, including a stellar rookie campaign in 1927 with the finest team ever assembled. Moore went 19-7 with a league-leading 2.28 ERA as well as leading the league in saves. Although he never went on to repeating those types of numbers, he remained a workhorse, starting another 15 games and finishing 31 for the Red Sox in 1931. Retiring in 1933 as a Yankee again, Moore's career ended with just over 50 wins and a 3.70 ERA. This OAL ball was dutifully signed by the hurler in black ink (9/10) across the sweet spot. A coat of shellac protects the signature. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
