    Description

Circa 1960 Walter O'Malley Single Signed Baseball. This is just the third O'Malley single we've had the privilege to offer, the others commanding $9,560 in November 2014 and $10,200 in December 2017. He remains, to that dwindling population of baseball fans old enough to have loved the Brooklyn Dodgers, one of the most reviled men in franchise history. But even those collectors who still curse his name for shipping the Bums to Los Angeles are forced to come crawling back now, as the Veterans Committee of the Baseball Hall of Fame enshrined the Dodgers owner posthumously in 2008.

His blue ink signature rates 7/10 on the sweet spot of the provided ONL (Giles) baseball, and a notation in an unknown hand adds a faded personalization to the left. Known examples of this ball number in the single digits, so interested collectors should bid to win. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
